If you're anything like us, your kids love puzzles... but don't love to put them away. Or at least put them away so that they don't become an immediate mess again.
Well today, I'm sharing a couple little organization hacks for children's puzzles that will hopefully help keep you, the parent, sane!
The Puzzles
So, first, just so we're on the same page, I'm not talking about a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle. I'm talking about children's puzzles like these Melissa & Doug ones:

We have probably too many of these things, but our kids (5 & 3 years old) love them! They're a great activity for kids to learn focus, problem solving, motor skills etc.
They've always been pretty good about actually completing them but whenever they would pull them out or put them away, pieces would go flying...
Not anymore!
The Organization Solution!
We found these durable, clear, plastic storage bags that perfectly fit the puzzles:
So no matter how we store them; flat, upside down, or vertically everything stays in tact!:

This has allowed us to store the puzzles on bookcases, shelves or in baskets:
Since the bags have zippers, our kids can easily take them out and put them away. Overall, these bags have been the missing piece to our puzzle organization. :)
The bags come in multiple sizes so we've also been using the small ones to store our sons Lego sets.
Here are the exact ones we got off Amazon.

More Puzzle Organization!
While the bags were the main show here, another little trick we found for the smaller, more basic puzzles was this little organizer rack from Melissa & Doug:
As you can see we're using it on our kids little toy shelves to keep all those puzzles in one place. Our little one actually enjoys pulling off a puzzle, putting it together and putting it back on the shelf to do another. I guess organization is in her blood! :)
Here's that little shelf we got on Amazon.
Well that's it for now! I hope you found these little organization tricks for children's puzzles to be helpful!
