Hi! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a former teacher, stay-at-home/homeschool mom of three with a passion for making learning meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable for young children.

Simplicity Home Living began during a season when my husband and I were simply trying to make everyday family life work a little better. With young kids, busy schedules, toys, laundry, meals, work, and all the things that come with raising a family, we quickly learned how valuable simple systems could be.

Over the years, that meant creating better routines, organizing our home, making our own labels and printables, and finding practical ways to make family life feel a little less overwhelming.

As our family grew into homeschooling, Simplicity Home Living naturally grew with us.

My goal is to create simple resources that make teaching easier, learning more joyful, and family life a little less complicated.

From the Classroom to Our Homeschool

Before becoming a homeschool mom, I spent time teaching in the public school system and also working as a behavioral specialist. Those experiences shaped much of the way I think about young children and learning today.

I discovered that some of the most meaningful learning happens through hands-on activities, play, stories, exploration, conversation, and experiences that encourage children to be curious.

I also learned that children don’t all learn the same way or at the same pace.

Now, as I homeschool my own children, I get to combine that teaching experience with something even more personal: seeing firsthand what excites my kids, what keeps them engaged, what needs to be adapted, and what simply doesn’t work for us.

Many of the educational resources you’ll find here begin right at our own kitchen table.

They’re created for real children, used in our own home, and thoughtfully refined before I share them with other families and educators.

Why I Create Homeschool Resources

When I started creating lessons and activities for my own children, I realized how much time can go into preparing meaningful learning experiences.

Finding an activity is easy.

Finding activities that work together, are developmentally appropriate, keep children interested, and don’t require hours of preparation is a little harder.

That’s why I began creating resources that I would want to use myself.

Today, in addition to our organization labels, you’ll find a growing collection of printable homeschool resources, alphabet unit studies, early-learning activities, busy books, author studies, and other educational materials designed especially for preschool and early elementary learners.

I’m hoping to continue sharing more of what I create as time permits, so bear with me as this collection grows!

My hope is that these resources give parents and teachers a starting point so they can spend less time preparing and more time actually learning alongside their children.

Who I Create For

Although many of these resources begin in our home, you certainly don’t have to homeschool the way we do — or homeschool at all — to use them.

A Real Home, Not a Perfect One

I’m not here to pretend our home is perfectly organized or that every homeschool day goes exactly according to plan.

It doesn’t.

Some activities are a huge hit. Some need to be adjusted. Some days we accomplish everything I hoped to do, and other days life happens.

That’s part of raising and teaching children.

What I can promise is that the resources I create are made thoughtfully, with real children and real families in mind.

I’ll continue learning, adjusting, creating, and sharing what is working for us along the way.
